School desks
Last year at Christmas, True Grasses Netherlands organised a morning and evening for women to come together and make two pieces of Christmas decoration each. One to keep for themselves and the other one to be sold at an elderly people’s home. We ended up with more pieces of decoration than expected and after the event, the sale the next day and additional orders that had come in, 500 Euro’s was collected for school materials.
With the finishing of classroom 2, the Kisarawe School Project was in need of more desks, which is what we spent the collected money for. Thanks to our supporters, classroom 1 and 2 are equipped and we are now nearly ready for the second class to start in January. As those that have started nursery 1 will go to class 2, we await new students to start and fill classroom number 1 again.
This coming December we will organise a similar event to sponsor the school in Kisarawe, watch our Facebook page for more news!
